Time for a 2008 update!  2007 was a great year that saw Kay travel across North America promoting an independent film, visiting with old friends and making new ones at each stop.  She had guest appearances on several popular television shows, including "CSI", "2 & 1/2 Men", "Boston Legal", "Ghost Whisperer", & "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", and the lead in a Lifetime movie.  The film in which she played the title character won awards at several film festivals, and she herself was also recognized:
She was the recipient of the inaugural "Rising Star Award" at the Temecula Valley International Film Festival
She was named "Outstanding Actor/Actress In a Film" at the Dixie Film Festival
The Hollywood Reporter labeled her "One to Watch" in their annual issue devoted to young performers

What a year it was, but we're expecting big things from 2008 as well!

The recent writers' strike meant that most television series stopped production from November through February.  Kay took that opportunity to focus completely on school, and as a result she'll complete all of the requirements for her undergraduate degree (history) in the next few weeks.  That's right - she's graduating from a prestigious university (UCLA receives more freshman applications than any other US university) at age 17!  While she's certainly not the youngest to do so, Kay's accomplishment is even more remarkable because she worked steadily while maintaining good grades, even spending months out of the country on location.

Squeezing in one last job before the strike shut things down, Kay did a pilot for a potential new television series for ABC Family called "Happy Campers".  It was a lot of fun and she enjoyed working with great people, but unfortunately it's not going any further.  As a result, she's now attached to a pilot for another network - we'll provide details later, as they become available.
